cwmbranfreeriders news
At the moment we are still awaiting replies from a few different landowners regarding trail building, the major one being a large area of private woodland in Upper Cwmbran, the last time i spoke to them they were in talks to do some thinning of the forrest thus creating space for a small DH track, however there are some very good and well ridable spots in this forrest at the moment and the landowners are happy for us to do so but we have been told that walkers take priority and we are to be aware of this at all times which isnt a problem as far as i can see as long as everyone gets along we should be fine.
As far as membership goes there isnt an official list yet as there are more important things to sort out first although there are a number of people already emailing and even approaching me out on the trails and even in town center, there will be a membership card and number provided as soon as i get the time to put it into practice i will also be in talks with local bike shops and proposing free advertising for them and in return asking for maybe the possibility of a discount for members
WCA. We will be working closely with the WCA over the next few months regarding build days and ride days, these are a cracking bunch of lads that have taken it upon themselves to re-invent the old Dragons DH track and to date have done a fantastic job, come the summer i can see some serious interest being put back into this place, good work lads keep it up.
